The Centre for Environmental Sustainability (CES) of the University of Peradeniya has launched an Environmental Sustainability Pledge to encourage the University community to adopt a more sustainable lifestyle. The pledge is available in English, Sinhala, and Tamil.

By signing the pledge, individuals commit to the following:

• Conserving water resources and natural resources
• Reducing energy consumption, greenhouse gas emissions, and waste
• Promoting sustainable transportation and proper waste management
